Development Orientation and Strategic Thinking for Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historic and Cultural Area

摘要: 衡山路—复兴路历史文化风貌区（以下简称“衡复风貌区”）在上海近现代发展史上占据了重要地位，是当前上海市最
具代表性的历史文化风貌区。在上海迈向卓越的全球城市发展过程中，衡复风貌区的更新、发展、保护、管治频频引起广泛
热烈的讨论，反映了社会各界对其发展定位和策略的理解差异。在试图对衡复风貌区的历史脉络和核心特征进行系统梳
理和总结的基础上，探索衡复百年风貌形成的内在机制，并结合当前发展面临的主要问题和矛盾，对其新时期的发展定位
和策略体系进行思考。
Abstract: Hengshan Road-Fuxing Road Historic and Cultural Area (Hengfu Area) occupies an important position in modern history of
Shanghai, as the most representative historic and cultural area in Shanghai. In the process of Shanghai’s development to global cities,
the renewal, development, protection, and governance of Hengfu Area have attracted an extensive and heated discussion, reflecting
different understanding of development orientation and strategy. This article attempts to systematically review and summarize the
historical context and main characteristics of Hengfu Area, and explores the inner mechanism of the formation of Hengfu Area’s
century-long history. Combined with the current problems, this paper also expounds the development orientation and strategy in the
new period.
